A second person played through what I had so far and I had a literal laundry list of things to fix and improve, and I did so! Here are the patch notes of what I've fixed this weekend:
- It's now more clear than guns are auto-firing
- Improved menu selection color
- Some rooms have been tweaked in order to remove potentially impossible to shoot enemies
- Some enemies have been tweaked in order to make their attacks possible to avoid
- Acid pits are 100% more deadly
- Changed the color of the UI to make text easier to read
- The teleport skill now shows a little graphical cue and is more lenient regarding it's use vis-a-vis moving to cancel it
- Your maximum level, current level and door opening rating are displayed independently, there is also a paragraph about that in the "help" menu.
- Game should not freeze anymore when you look at the wrong computer
- Acid bubbles were removed where they made no sense, they were replaced by moving fire
- Reworked ice worm fight
- You no longer instantly lose when trying to complete a challenge that requires you to not get hit by a certain status ailment if you start it with that ailment.
- Enemies now spawn X seconds after you've killed the last one, instead of checking at each X second interval. Default is still 5 seconds.
- Boxes with multiple items in them give them all at once.
- Reworked 'teleport' document to not need multiple readings.
- Achievement text is now displayed at the top of the screen until you change rooms.
- Challenge reward text is now in a normal text box instead of scrolling at the top of the screen
I'm looking into a way to make the game always available to download at it's latest version - or better yet, to play it in-browser if possible. So you could always be playing the most recent one! That could be useful.
Time spent on the project so far: 385 hours
