Puzzle Bandits, simply put, is a Puzzle&Dragons clone. You match things to make combos and then you attack your enemies or heal and after a fixed number of turns, your enemies attack you. You can fuse heroes together to raise their levels, you can buy random heroes for real money and they are really strong. While P&D had me going for at least an hour before I stopped, PB didnt last more than ten minutes because of some extreme difficulty
It's hardly a 'puzzle' game when you can move pieces as much as you want in five second intervals, especially if you are an AI with all the knowledge in the world to spare. The third battle wrecked me thoroughly. The computer nuked my whole party in one swift move, dragging a dot around and arranging the whole board to explode. I honestly thought it was a scripted thing against a too strong enemy to show some aspect of the game I didn't know about, but nope.
Even then, this is less than P&D, your creatures don't even have special abilities and all they do is attack when you match their colors and heal when you match hearts. Nothing to see here, move along.
