This is a match-three game where you have to spend money in order to get anywhere. A few good ideas here and there, but I grow bored of these things. It's also very frustrating in the maps where you can't do anything and the only way to save yourself is to spend some money on items to break tiles or resurrect your troops.

This game plays like most match three titles, you have different classes of soldier which you use to attack enemies in different way and a healer to heal your units. By matching gems and cakes you get more powerful attacks, and you progress through different levels with various 'challenges'. If only the game was only about defeating enemies, but no, they throw in specific victory conditions from time to time and these are the worst. This game gets way too difficult way too fast, you need to bring tiles at the bottom of the screen but if you aren't very lucky, you won't be able to. Or you can just damage enemies if you match tiles in specific spots, and while you're doing all that, an infinite stream of bad guys runs at you and you have to kill them/heal while keeping at trying to match gems in any satisfactory way.

And you can buy many things, the most troubling for me is to double your unit's stats in exchange of real money. That's troubling because of course, if that's an option, was the game balanced around the idea that the player WILL pay for these upgrades? If so, the game is unfairly difficult to non-payers, if not, the game will become way too easy for people that spend their way in. No amount of cute slot-machines at the end of each level - where you need to pay premium currency in order to get more than one reel - and cake puns will save such a game.

Oh and there's an energy system as well.
