The Proton Orders is a game currently in development that I want people to test. My ideas with this one were multiple, I wanted to make a third person shooter that combined what I loved from Earth Defense Force and Borderlands, taking the best parts of arcade shooting and character customization and leveling up. I have learned a bunch of new things while making this first version, mainly how to model 3D characters and how local co-op would work. I tried to add online multiplayer, but the project was too far in development and I had to scrap that idea.

My vision for the game is as follows; When the game is complete, you will have a 7x7 grid of maps with different type and ranks of enemies. Each of the six weapon types will have a substantial skill tree with various passive, active and stat bonuses to unlock. You will be able to choose from one of four frame type and when you have cleared all the maps, you'll be able to increase the difficulty to kill tougher enemies and level up your gear to the max.

But I need your help, I need you to try and play The Proton Orders, and tell me if you think it's got any potential. I don't want to spend three years on another project that fails to impress or interest anyone, and stopping at this 70-hour mark - it's only been two months since I've started working on this part-time - wouldn't bum me out as much. So try it out, there are five maps playable, you can upgrade your weapon once you get enough hydrogen, and there are two enemy types to fight. Thanks!
