The core loop of the game is more or less established now; Throw darts, cast a spell, get attacked by the enemy, continue until either of you die. If you die, it's game over, you can only restart the game at that point. If the enemy dies, you level up, get a random bonus from a slowly growing list and a new enemy appears, growing in strength and in abilities as you go.

Maybe the level-up bonuses you get won't help you too much, maybe the enemies you'll face will be the most powerful the game can throw at you instead of being weaklings, maybe the new abilities you'll encounter will mess up your style, that's all part of the Magic Darts experience! It's a roguelike RPG dart game!

While looking at DartWizard MagicMan, I've decided that always seeing the same name is boring, also you might not be a guy while playing this game! So now the name is a bit randomized and it's a bit of fun silliness.

What's next before I submit the game on Friday? Content creation, mostly. I've decided not to go crazy, so there are 'only' 33 spells you can cast from the combination of six runes (3 spells per single rune stack, one spell per rune combo, one spell if you get more than 2 kind of runes at the same level) and most spells will be generic affairs. I want to make a bunch of enemies and level up effects as well. Maybe around 50 would be enough for a full game experience? Maybe less. Then there's some issue of balance, which I'm terrible at, but I'll still attempt.

Why Friday you ask? After all, the Nes Box Art Jam lasts for a whole month! Well, that's because I have two other jams coming up, and I think that a month is a long time to jam anyways. A week is going to have to do!

Time spent on the project so far: 22 hours
