Approximate time spent on project: 25 hours (Really stretched thin)
ParaIdle is my attempt at working with ECS, Unity’s new game development paradigm (?) and also the occasion for me to make a small idle game as well. You build a small city by creating houses that get filled with people and you try to buy furniture that matches their tastes in order to make more money to buy upgrades and eventually more houses and furniture. The whole thing went okay, but I spent so little time on this project everyday that things took way too long.
This game isn’t available to download because it doesn’t push any boundaries of idle gameplay and because it lacks the balance and polish required to be a good idle game. Imagine releasing a game with less features than the first version of Cookie Clicker and you’ll see what I mean.
This also is a Paralives fangame! Somehow! I got pretty inspired by the whole life simulator idea for my idle game and if I had more time and motivation I would’ve added plenty of cool features regarding your little characters walking around in their houses full of toilets.

About the game
Five building types to construct! They can all hold more ParaFolks and make more money over time, but they get pretty expensive!
Six different types of furniture to buy with five levels of quality! Better furniture gives you more money for your limited space, but you won’t be able to buy them right away. Try to match your furniture’s color with your inhabitants’s to generate sweet ParaProfits!
Four different upgrades! Improve the speed at which people flock to your ParaTown! Increase the number of furniture you can fit in your ParaAppartments! Increase your Paradime generation speed! Reset the game, plant some trees, and make even more money the more times you do this!
